How do traditional lubrication technologies affect your extrusion operation?

Boron nitride-based lubricants are a health risk.

They generate far-reaching particles that operators may inhale. These lubricants’ prices are high, as well.

Graphite-based lubricants affect process efficiency and operator health.

These lubricants’ solid components clog up spraying systems. This requires that operators apply these lubricants manually. When hot surfaces touch these lubricants, they emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
These Compounds are highly toxic and put operators’ health at risk.

Acetylene fires affect product quality and operator health.

This lubricant comes from burning acetylene to create black carbon, which goes on the piston surface as a solid lubricant. However, it stains the extruded profiles and is highly carcinogenic.
